A pink leotard (choice of different styles), pink tights or white socks, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back, preferably in a bun. No tutus or skirts, please!
All other ballet and pointe students are required to wear:
A black leotard (choice of different styles), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. These levels may wear black ballet skirts or black bike shorts over their leotards. Hair must be in a bun.

A black leotard or biketard or any combination of a black leotard, black crop-top, black tank top, official MHSB t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts, black bike shorts or black dance pants, suntan tights, black socks, and black jazz shoes. Jazz students may also wear the official MHSB hoodies or track pants for warm-up. Hair must be neatly pulled back. We do not recommend jazz sneakers; Only in Jazz 8 and up will a teacher consider allowing them to be worn, but the teacher must be consulted.

All tap students are required to wear:
Ballet or jazz attire, suntan tights, and black tap shoes. Hair must be neatly pulled back.
All modern students are required to wear:
A black leotard or biketard or any combination of formfitting black pants, leggins, black tank top, or black bike shorts and modern foot thongs. Hair must be neatly pulled back.
All musical theatre students are required to wear: Black dance pants with their choice of a tank-top or t-shirt (no baggy t-shirts, please), and jazz shoes. Hair must be neatly pulled back. Senior students ONLY may need both black character shoes and black jazz shoes.

Detailed price lists for uniforms are available at the mhsb shop. The following is an approximation of how much uniforms cost:
Reminder: mhsb shop does not carry tap shoes.
For our junior and middle school dancers, MHSB has designated uniform days when you can come to the studio to be fitted for proper dance attire.
MHSB has a quarterly newsletter, pointe of view, with information updates about MHSB. (Holidays, Comings and Goings etc)
In August of 2003 we first introduced the MHSB Handbook. Our handbook was created to provide a complete, comprehensive, and easy-to-read outline of how the school operates. There is a section entitled Specific Details. This section includes a month by month breakdown of class changes and/or special events occurring during that specific month.
The MHSB handbook is designed to help our students and their families keep their dance lives organized. If you would rather own the paper version, please contact the studio and we can send you one at a cost of $7, or feel free to print out your own!
