Founded in 1992, The Martha Hicks School of Ballet, commonly referred to as mhsb, offers the highest quality of dance instruction and un-matched customer service across eight locations in North Toronto. Readers of City Parent magazine have voted mhsb "Best Dance School". mhsb was also voted runner up in the category of "Best Ballet School" and holds a Gold Medal standing after receiving award nominations for 5 years.

In the fall of 2008, The Martha Hicks School of Ballet began a partnership with the Koffler Centre of the Arts to create mhsb @ the koffler. We are proud to provide several exciting dance classes at a variety of levels. Students will be introduced to the artisty of ballet, the rhythms of tap, the style of jazz, and the urban moves of hip hop.

All classes are currently being held at the Donald Gales Family Pavilion's spacious and professional studios at the Koffler Centre of the Arts.  This new facility is located within the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre near Sheppard Avenue which is conveniently accessible by car and public transportation.

Construction is currently underway on a brand new 40,000 square foot, architecturally innovative new Koffler Centre of the Arts on the present site soon to be known as the Sherman Campus and will feature 2,550 square feet of professional quality recital-style studios. something for everyone at mhsb @ the koffler.

mhsb runs several exciting services through its Yonge & Eglinton locations and is happy to offer the following services, and more, to participants of our mhsb @ the koffler programs:

• A summer of fun at our daytime dance camp for 4 to 10 year olds – offering tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern and more!
• Entertaining dance birthday parties hosted at mhsb by energetic & fun teachers
• Access to gorgeous costumes to rent for your child’s special functions, photo shoots, or school activities
• Beautiful studio space available for rent at Yonge & Eglinton
